Membership:
The Membership Committee keeps a roster for RC#13 based upon information submitted by retirees. The roster provides contact information for official RC#13 use and is not shared. The Membership Committee works to expand active membership in the Council. Please make sure your membership information is up to date. To join us and make sure you stay connected please print, fill out and send in the RC#13 Membership form found at the link below.

Social Committee:
We would like all our members to join us for seasonal walks, events and workshops within the five counties of Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Sullivan and Ulster Counties. Please check our Calendar for upcoming events.
We are always looking for new ideas/help in organizing social events within the five counties to make sure there are opportunities for everyone to participate. If you have ideas to share or are willing to help, please contact:

Professional Grants:
RC#13 retirees continue to support in-service teachers and professional support staff working in the classroom. With this in mind, a grant has been developed to support in-service professionals working to enhance the educational process for their students. Grants will be awarded in any amount up to $500.00.
The Retiree Council #13 Grant Applications are sent in January to all local presidents and Teacher Center Directors in the five counties. The Grant Committee requests that the local presidents disperse the application to each member of their local.
The Grant Committee reviews each completed application received once all criteria are met. Recipients are awarded the grant in June. Our grant application can be found by Clicking Here.

Program Development Committee:
RC#13 is committed to supporting and enriching the lives of its members. The Program Development Committee meets periodically to discuss and recommend new programs, workshops and events that will engage and mobilize members in our region.

New Chapter Committee:
Our goal is to help create a local retiree chapter for all the in-service locals within the five counties. The New Chapter Committee is a person-to-person resource intended to assist in creating and organizing a local chapter affiliated with their in-service local, Retiree Council #13 and NYSUT. We serve as an on-call support and information resource for our locals.
